Proud sponsors of dynamic team in Class E of National Off-Road Racing Series.

Lombard Tyres has taken the unusual step of sponsoring a team in the National Off-Road Racing series. This was brought about by our faith and confidence in KUMHO TYRES` star performer, the KL 71.

In a recent article in the influential 4x4 Magazine in Britain, the KUMHO KL 71 was voted equally best 4x4 tyre in a tyre test. This honor was shared with BF Goodrich. As a result of this accolade we had no hesitation to back our product when we were approached by TEAM POTCH for a sponsorship deal involving the KL 71.

TEAM POTCH (TEAMPOTCH.co.za) is a new dynamic team competing in Class E of the National Off-Road Series. They could not find suitable tyres for their 4x4 Rally-ready Toyota vehicle due to a shortage of the product used by competitors. As a result they were given the freedom by the Motor Sport South Africa to use a product of their choice. They had no hesitation in approaching Lombard Tyres to supply them with the KUMHO KL 71 in size 245/75/16 with a 10 ply rating.

Despite being the rookies in Class E, TEAM POTCH has already established themselves as formidable competitors, by currently occupying 3rd place on the national log. Thereby surpassing teams with years of experience.

We are excited to be a part of this team, and confident that our product, the KUMHO KL 71 will give a good account of itself under these extreme conditions. It is half-way through the season, and with 4 races left we trust that the change to racing on KUMHO KL 71`s will be the defining moment for TEAM POTCH and Lombard Tyres.
